We're not letting Scrooge ruin our holiday season!  In lieu of our Holiday Parade, we are excited to announce the Coliseum Central Holiday Extravaganza Presented by Sentara CarePlex Hospital!  Beginning November 20, our custom website, coliseumcentralholiday.com, will reveal daily events, storytime, and more!  

In addition, we will have in-person events designed with social distancing in mind!

Holidays in the Sky Color PNGFREE Laser Light Show

We're lighting up the night!  We're excited to debut "Holidays in the Sky" - a series of FREE holiday-themed laser light shows in the Hampton Coliseum parking lot on November 19, 20, and 21.  The 30-minute shows will feature lasers, projections, and LED video walls synchronized to holiday favorites playing through car FM radios.  While the laser shows are free of charge, space is limited and registration is required.

 Every Sunday between November 20 & December 20 enjoy holiday stories read by city leaders and first responders.

  • November 21 - A Snowy Day read by Mayor Donnie Tuck
  • November 28 -  Frosty the Snowman read by City Manager Mary Bunting
  • December 5 - The Berenstain Bears and the Joy of Giving read by Police Chief Mark Talbot
  • December 12 - I Got the Christmas Spirit read by Sheriff Karen Bowden

Art

Each day between November 20-December we will reveal artwork from Elementary, Middle, and High School students from Hampton City Schools. On December 21, we will begin revealing 1st Place Winners in each grade level.  Our Grand Prize winner will be revealed on December 24.

What are the holidays without music?  Every Monday between November 20-December 13 we will bring you holiday classics from each of the Hampton high school bands!

It just wouldn't be the holidays without a parade.  WTKR and WGNT will be airing the 2019 Coliseum Central Holiday Parade.
