During Spring (and at other times during the year) Coliseum Central sponsors Volunteer Community Clean-up Days - a time when we can work together to pick up litter. District businesses can become involved by asking employess to volunteer to help pick up litter, by hosting the clean-up day, by donating bottled water, or by providing $5 gift cards/coupons to be given as prizes to the volunteers of the business that has the most people at the clean-up event. MAY is Neighborhood Month in the City of Hampton. During this month, we ask the businesses in our neighborhood who have changeable-message signs to include an anti-litter message so that those who work, shop and visit Coliseum Central can't help but notice the pride we have in our business community.
A special thanks to Sentara CarePlex Hospital who keeps the anti-litter message up all year long !
